The Sailing Foundation of New York (SFNY) plays a pivotal role in advancing the sport of sailing and its community by channeling 100% of donations directly into impactful programs.

To make a donation online, indicate the amount below. After you click Continue you will be able to designate your donation to a specific athlete or organization.

We value every donor dollar on behalf of the athletes. Our online donation platform was created to make donations easier on those wishing to provide support outside of checks and wire transfers. This functionality does not come free. While we continue to ensure 100% of each contribution is fully directed, it does mean that we self-fund each transaction fee as an all-volunteer organization. We respectfully ask that you consider helping us offset these fees. You’ll see the breakdown in the transaction widget below based on your donation amount, it is your choice. Thank you for your consideration.

Here’s how your contribution makes a difference:

  • Direct Athlete Support: SFNY provides financial assistance to aspiring Olympians and high-performance sailors, helping them prepare for and compete in elite events such as the Olympics and international championships.
  • Sailing Program Development: The foundation funds community sailing programs, junior sailors and initiatives for sailors with different abilities – directly fostering greater access, education and competition within the sport.
  • Maritime Education & Preservation: Beyond the competitive arena, SFNY supports maritime education and preservation efforts to protect the sport’s rich heritage and inspire future generations.
  • Community Building: By collaborating with regatta organizations, yacht clubs and sailing programs nationwide, SFNY strengthens the sailing community and ensures the sport remains vibrant and inclusive.
  • Transparent Use of Funds: The SFNY has full transparency as to how every donor dollar is spent, with a framework of direct expense reimbursement for qualified activities.

Your donation supports Olympic dreams, sailing education, and a thriving community while preserving the sport’s legacy for the future.
