Golden Spinnaker 2026 Scheduled for June 11 at New York Yacht Club Harbour Court
February 6, 2026
On behalf of the Event Committee, we are pleased to announce registration, sponsorships, tables and tickets are now available for the 2026 Golden Spinnaker Gala, set to take place on Thursday, June 11 at New York Yacht Club Harbour Court in Newport, Rhode Island. This year marks an important change: for the first time, the New York Yacht Club has assumed coordination of the Golden Spinnaker, with all planning led by an event committee chaired by Alexandra Cummiskey.
While SFNY has long collaborated with partners across the sailing community, including previous support for the Golden Spinnaker Gala, this year’s coordination by the New York Yacht Club reflects a new direction for the event and renewed enthusiasm from NYYC members and staff. SFNY remains fully committed to its core mission of fueling the dreams of America’s top sailors as they pursue excellence and compete at the highest levels of the sport. We are grateful for the support of the club and event committee.
Details on the Golden Spinnaker may be found here, with sponsorships, tables and tickets available while space lasts. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to hear directly from sailor athletes working to achieve their dream of representing the United States at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California.
For more than 25 years, the Sailing Foundation of New York (SFNY) has proudly advanced its mission of supporting U.S. sailors — from youth athletes to Olympic hopefuls — by providing direct financial assistance for coaching, travel, competition, equipment, and other essential needs. Through donor generosity, SFNY ensures that 100 % of contributions go directly to athletes and programs, with no administrative overhead charged to sailors.
